Meet Freshman Mckenzie Derusha. She attended St. John Lutheran Midland from Kindergarten to 8th grade. She enjoys competing in horseback riding events, especially speed and cow work, track meets, and basketball games. In her free time, she rides and takes care of horses, practices for basketball, and hangs out with her friends. She is a part of Animal Club, Pep Club, and Protect Life Club at Valley. She is on the junior varsity basketball team and is planning on doing track in the spring. When asked what her favorite thing about Valley was, she replied, “My favorite thing about Valley is the different types of people you meet. Everyone is different and individually themselves.”
