Welcome to The Battle of the Seasons! Summer, Spring, Fall, and Winter are in the arena. Only the student body can decide which is best. Some people love the colors of fall or the freedom and sunshine of summer. Maybe you like the coldness of winter or the greenness of spring.
Sports, holidays, and birthdays are a big factor in a person’s preferred season.
Winter has snow sports like skiing and snowboarding. This frozen time of year hosts Christmas, one of the best holidays there is! Houses have sparkling Christmas lights and great big trees. This season is perfect for enjoying a nice steamy cup of hot chocolate.
Summer is the hottest season of them all. School is out and students have the freedom to do whatever they want without being held down by the stresses of homework. This is the best time to go swimming with friends!
When the cold months have passed; Spring sprouts up from the ground. Green grass and dazzling flowers fill the ground. Spring is home to Easter! Painting Easter eggs are a great thing to do during this time of year!
Fall is my personal favorite! I love all the pretty colors on the trees. I also love that it is the perfect weather for wearing flannel. Halloween and Thanksgiving are a part of this season; free candy and lots of food!

Coming in final place with four votes is Spring. In third with eighteen votes, we have Winter. One freshman says that they love winter because it’s the coldest time of year. Tied for first place are Fall and Summer. Of the five freshmen I asked, two said Fall, and another two said, Summer. Hopefully, this can settle the debate on which season is best.
