Movie Theaters Are Back

Movie theatres came back in 2021! After a year of trying to create the best movie viewing experience from home, 2021 brought back the beloved movie going experience for people all around the world. 2021 also brought some amazing films, like Eternals, Tick, Tick, Boom, Cruella, Dune, Venom, and so many others. Some of Valley’s favorite 2021 movies include The Last Duel, Moxie, West Side Story, and Encanto. However, the most popular movie among the student body was Spider-Man: No Way Home. Arguably the most anticipated film of the year, No Way Home was an epic finale of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man’s Home Trilogy. Even if Holland isn’t your favorite Spider-Man, characters from past Spider-Man universes sparked every fan’s excitement. With all of the buzz around the film, it ended up being the year’s highest grossing movie, with $724,886,280 as its total gross, $500,342,988 more than the second highest grossing film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
