Week of 9/19

Welcome to Homecoming Week, Valley! There are a plethora of events going on everyday, so buckle up and have fun!

Monday: Pajama Day

  • Along with wearing your favorite pajamas, be sure to bring a stuffed animal or blanket to complete your outfit!

  • Kicking off Homecoming sporting events for this week is Boys Soccer at Valley Lutheran! JV plays John Glenn at 5, and Varsity is set to play Nouvel at 7.

Tuesday: Stay A-Float Day

  • Not quite sure what this day means? Bring floaties, a life jacket, pool noodle, or any inflatable swimming device to be counted for house points!

Wednesday: Service Day

  • Remember: there are no classes on Wednesday. You aren’t required to come back to Valley after your service event has ended.

  • All three Volleyball teams will be away facing Michigan Lutheran Seminary. Freshman Girls will start at 4:30, JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 6:30.

Thursday: BBQ Dad and Soccer Mom

  • Chargers are representing Valley all over the Great Lakes Bay Region this Thursday! Come support Cross Country in Frankenmuth at 4:15, JV Boys Soccer plays at Freeland at 5 and Varsity plays at 7, Freshman Volleyball is at Heritage starting at 5:30, and JV Football plays at Michigan Lutheran Seminary at 6.

Friday: House Colors

  • If you are participating in any event in the pep rally, you must be wearing your house colors! If you are unsure of what your house colors are, each house is represented by a banner at the front of the 100s hallway.

  • Friday marks the first pep rally of the year! Get fired up in preparation for Valley’s Homecoming Football game against Michigan Lutheran Seminary that begins at 7. Before the game, a tailgate will be held at Valley with food and drinks, and the Homecoming parade will be set in the school parking lot. During halftime this night, winners of Homecoming King and Queen will be announced.

Saturday: Homecoming Dance

  • Dress to impress at Valley’s 2022 Homecoming Dance! This year, the dance runs from 8-11 p.m. at Valley. Be sure to bring socks, as outdoor shoes are not allowed into the gym. Tickets for the dance will be available earlier this week.

Have a great week, Chargers!
